Clad Timber-Framed Enclosure

Timber-framed structure clad in dark horizontal corrugated steel with exposed timber corner post, extending from an existing building

The project

A long timber-framed structure extending from the existing building, clad externally in dark horizontal corrugated steel with exposed timber posts at the corners and panel joints.

The roof was framed first — timber beams, rafters and battens under steel sheeting, on posts along the slab — then the walls were framed and clad. Inside, the framing stays visible, and translucent roof sheets bring daylight onto the slab.
