02 — Decks

Deck building on the Mornington Peninsula

Outdoor decking designed around the property and how you intend to use it.

Low timber-look entry deck with picture-framed edges and two wide steps at the front door of a rendered home, beside a mulched garden bed

About this service

A good deck starts with how it will be used — a landing at a back door, a place to eat outside, or a level area on a sloping block.

We look at the site, the levels and the way the deck connects to the house, then build a frame and finish to suit.

Discuss Your Project

Typical work includes

  • New decks — ground level and raised
  • Landings, steps and stairs
  • Handrails and balustrades
  • Deck replacement and re-boarding
  • Subfloor screening and battens
  • Timber and composite decking

Good to know

Depending on height, size and position, a deck may need a building permit in Victoria. We'll talk through what is likely to apply before quoting.

Decking material affects maintenance. Hardwood needs periodic oiling; composite needs very little.
